Hey everybody, I have just discovered how to do on-line Polls and Surveys. Check it out, it’s pretty cool. Now I can set up Polls and Surveys and find out what everybody is thinking.

If you click on the Survey link at the top of the page it will take you to the Survey Page. There you need to click on the link and you can fill out the survey questions.

Also below is my first ever Poll. It is multi-choice and you can only vote once. Get BLOGGING EVERYONE!!!!!! I look forward to reading the results.

Are you looking forward to going back to school?

Hey Room5ians, check out our new Magic Manners Chair. Cool colour aye? I can tell you it’s extremely comfy.

Each day I am going to chose the student with the best manners and they get to sit on the Magic Manners chair for 1 day. At the end of each day I will announce the next day’s winner. The winner also gets to wear the Magic Manners necklace.

Manners are very important for children and adults. What are your manners like? Who will be the first person to sit on the Magic Manners chair?

Hope you are enjoying your holiday, send me a comment telling me what you have been up to?

We were so lucky today to have the Jets come to Newbury and run practice. Thanks to the Jets, you guys are awesome!! Thursday is the last game for the summer league so good luck to both teams.

Mr Baker is currently making up the teams for the Winter league. So far I have enough players for a Y7/8, Y5/6 and Y3/4 team. Unfortunately I only have a coach for the Y3/4 team. So if anyone knows someone who is keen to coach basketball let me know. If we don’t find coaches we won’t enter the teams.

Check out the photos from today.

Hey Room5ians, did you know there is only 9 more days to go until the end of the term? (And two of those are at the Athletics) It only seems like yesterday that I started at Newbury. It has been such a busy and exciting term. Who can remember day one? Have you enjoyed Term 1? What’s been your favourite part? What haven’t you liked? What do you think will happen in Terms 2, 3 and 4? Send me a comment with your thoughts.

What’s happening this week?

Who is in the Physical Activity Team? Well the answer is on Mr Baker’s classroom window. The team is made up of 10 students ranging from Y4 to Y8. Congratulations to everyone who was chosen and thanks to all the students who applied. Lets get Newbury Active!!!!

Tuesday is the Hillary Team athletics at the Massey athletics track. Should be an exciting day full of running, jumping, throwing and cheering. Don’t forget to wear your house colours. (Mr Baker will find something yellow to wear)

Friday is the Kainui Athletics day again at the Massey Track. This event is all day and is for the Y5-8’s only. Can’t wait, a chance to complete against other schools.

On Thursday is the final Basketball game for the Summer league. Tomorrow the JETS are coming to school to run practice.

On Saturday are the first Soccer games of the season. Awesome - you can’t beat lacing up the boots and throwing on your soccer strip!!!!

Mixed in with all that is Reading, Writing, Maths, Spelling and Theme.

Congratulations to Eliza for been named P.O.W. You definitely deserve it. Eliza, we will get together this week and make a Voki for you to go on the Blog.

Thanks for all the comments on the baby competition. I will post the answers during the week.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and see you all tomorrow.
