Hey Room5ians, well the school holidays are nearly over and it’s time to go back to school. Yay!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all the people who voted in the Poll about going back to school. Looks like most people are keen and ready to go.
Anyway the term ahead is extremely busy and is going to be full with excitement. Here are some important dates for term two.
Week 2 - Assessment week, Friday 16th Winter Sports tournament
Week 3 - Taupo Camp for Year 5/6
Week 6 - Wednesday 11th June School Cross Country, Friday 13th Formal Dance
Week 7 - Tuesday 17th Kainui Cross Country, Wednesday 18th Rippa Rugby Tournament
Week 8 - Friday 27th School Disco
Week 9 - Room 5’s Assembly, ERO Visit

I dont agree with Harrison’s choice on the poll, like lots of others he thinks there should be LESS homework than last term.
Well I think there should be at the very least the same if not a bit more.
It shouldnt be difficult, just enough so they have to think about it. (as it has been).
I feel that it is important that homework is done 2 to 3 days a week. This leaves time for sport, friends etc after school and also should be setting some ground work for what is to come in the next few years.
Well thats what I think. (sorry kids but thats a Mum’s job)

Thanks Brenda, it’s great to see you blogging and it’s great that you have an opinion.
Homework this term is increasing from last term, I just wanted to know what everyone else thought. This term we are keeping the paper Homework the same as last term. On top of that I am going to introduce some Blog Homework.
Everyone has different opinions and it is hard to please everyone. Hopefully this will work.
